The Purchase Order Forecasting team at Amazon is looking for a passionate, visionary Sr. Product Manager-Tech to shape how we provide vendors with advanced visibility of Amazon's orders and ensure we are able to purchase the right items at the right time and at the right price to delight our customers. Our team is part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) organization. SCOT owns Amazon's global inventory sourcing & planning systems. We decide what, when, where, how much and from whom we should buy to meet Amazon's business goals and to make our customers happy. We do this for millions of items, for hundreds of product lines worth billions of dollars of inventory world-wide. Our systems are built entirely in-house and are on the cutting edge in automated large scale supply chain sourcing, planning and optimization systems.
Key job responsibilities
This role is focused on helping Amazon improve it's access to supply by designing & building systems to provide advanced purchasing signals to vendors. As a Sr. PM-T, you will be responsible for charting and executing strategies for both new and existing business and inventory management optimization products. You will wear many hats as product manager, business owner, partner, data analyst and technology evangelist.
Key Responsibilities Include
Building and managing high quality product roadmaps
Gaining support for your strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership
Creating program goals and related metrics, tracking progress and managing through obstacles to achieve your objectives
Communicating performance, executing and articulating root-cause analysis and linking to specific improvement areas
Executing launches of new features
Partnering with key stakeholders to define product strategy
Promoting data-driven decision making throughout the team
Addressing barriers through problem solving and coordination with stakeholders
Partnering with other teams across Retail and Supply Chain to identify and influence development of new products and services
Acting as an ambassador for SCOT
Sharing best practices with other Amazon teams

You are a great fit for the role if you are voraciously curious about Amazon’s supply chain operations, have immense bias for action and an excellent ability to deliver results even in the face of strong headwinds. You enjoy and excel at driving product development, leading cross-functional collaboration and managing stakeholders’ expectations. You have strong organizational, writing, and influencing skills and gather and use data to guide your decision-making.
About The Team
You will be joining the Purchase Order (PO) Forecasting team within SCOT. We owns systems, products, and programs that provide vendors with advance insight into Amazon's purchase quantities through long-term PO forecasts so that they can plan their raw material outsourcing, labor, and capacity accordingly, thereby improving Amazon’s access to supply.

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
