You will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for life sciences products, including medical air, saline, and blood filtration solutions.
This role will translate customer needs, market insights, regulatory considerations, and business objectives into prioritized product initiatives that deliver measurable customer and commercial value. The Senior Product Manager will partner closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, quality, regulatory, and senior leadership to guide products from discovery through launch, sustaining, optimization, and end-of-life planning. Secondary responsibilities may include mentoring product team members, supporting portfolio planning, contributing to business cases, and representing the product line in customer, commercial, and executive discussionsYou will:Own product strategy and roadmap for assigned life sciences product lines, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market opportunitiesLead market, customer, and competitive research to identify unmet needs, product gaps, and growth opportunitiesTranslate customer and business requirements into clear product requirements, value propositions, launch plans, and success metricsPrioritize product initiatives, enhancements, and sustaining activities based on customer impact, commercial value, risk, feasibility, and resource capacityLead cross-functional teams through product discovery, development, validation, launch, post-launch performance review, and lifecycle optimizationPartner with engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and customer support to ensure successful product delivery and adoptionDevelop business cases, pricing inputs, forecasts, launch readiness materials, and executive-level updates for product initiativesMonitor product performance, customer satisfaction, revenue, margin, quality trends, and adoption metrics; use insights to drive continuous improvementProvide product expertise for customer inquiries, sales enablement, training, and strategic account discussionsMentor junior product managers or cross-functional team members and contribute to continuous improvement of product management practicesKey Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, commercial strategy, engineering, or related roles, with demonstrated ownership of product strategy and lifecycle managementExperience managing regulated, technical, medical device, healthcare, life sciences, filtration, or industrial productsDemonstrated ability to build product roadmaps, develop business cases, prioritize initiatives, and make data-informed tradeoff decisionsStrong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence engineering, commercial, operations, quality, regulatory, and executive stakeholders without direct authorityStrong understanding of customer discovery, market research, competitive analysis, segmentation, pricing, launch planning, and product performance measurementExcellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical and commercial topics to varied audiencesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment while maintaining focus on customer value, business outcomes, quality, and complianceExperience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA 510(k), or other medical device regulatory and quality management processesExperience with product portfolio management, stage-gate processes, or lifecycle management frameworksExperience developing go-to-market plans, sales enablement materials, pricing recommendations, or commercial launch strategiesExperience with ERP, CRM, product analytics, voice-of-customer, or product lifecycle management toolsCommercial and technical risk assessment experienceAvailability to travel as needed (20%) to support customers, sites, suppliers, and industry eventsCompensation:For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $95500 - $ / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range.
Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
