You will join our AEC Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.Assist project managers in early project planning including bidder selection and gathering budgetary quotationsNew supplier and subcontractor qualification and setupUphold strong ethical standards and generally accepted procurement practicesDefine and implement data driven strategies to mitigate risk, reduce spending, improve cash flows, and optimize the firm's financial performanceSupport client trust initiatives for procurement activities within projectsMaintain strong working relationships with the Design Group team, clients, and outside vendors/contractorsIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement, optimize and ensure procurement process compliance, and help scale the supply chain function in a fast-paced growth environmentPrepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to qualified suppliers including working with other functional groups to gather all required documents and dataDetermine and maintain bid schedules in accordance with project schedulesPrepare commercial bid comparisons and supporting terms to establish solid recommendations for purchase order awardPrepare requisitions and purchase orders in accordance with negotiated terms and agreements, with appropriate technical and fiduciary approvalsFacilitate Kickoff Meetings and maintain open communication between suppliers and project teamsMonitor vendor compliance with contract terms and project requirementsWork with suppliers to resolve issues impacting things such as performance, schedule, quality, and invoice discrepancies; and drive corrective actions where neededEscalate any significant issues that require intervention or awarenessExpedite, track, route, and distribute required vendor documentationCoordinate logistics and transportation with strong understanding of Incoterms 2020Expedite and track materials and equipment to ensure on-time deliveryMaintain accurate and complete purchasing records in accordance with record retention proceduresWhat you'll bring:8+ years capital procurement or supply chain experienceStrong negotiation skills for significant commercial deals and strong analytical skills to assess purchasing history and to develop supply chain strategiesUnderstanding of contractual terms and conditions to mitigate business and legal risk requiredExcellent communication and listening skills; ability to work cross-functionally; comfort and experience presenting and collaborating with senior leadersStrong change management skills and self-awareness to take varying approaches with a dynamic set of stakeholders in a complex matrix organizationStrategic and analytical mindset with the ability to consider nontraditional approaches as the function, business needs, and the industry evolvesDemonstrated ability to work effectively on multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesDemonstrated ability to work in teams and gather vendor/subcontractor input for optimizing project performanceA willingness to travel for project requirements including project site visits and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventionsExperience working on large commercial projects (both greenfield and brownfield/renovations)Experience with light industrial/manufacturing projects in Food & Beverage or Life Sciences space would be a plusSelf-motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Procore & Project)BS degree in Supply Chain Management and/or procurement certifications are a plusOur culture and commitment to our people is what sets us apart.
