Sr Procurement ManagerWith a rich multigenerational history and a reputation for creating and delivering products and services that delight our customers (so they can delight theirs), Galloway Company is a recognized leader in the dairy processing industry.We are seeking a Sr Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods and services. This role is responsible for ensuring cost efficiency, quality, compliance, and continuity of supply to support business objectives. The ideal candidate brings strong negotiation skills, market awareness, and the ability to partner cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals and business prioritiesIdentify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for milk, dairy ingredients, packaging, and other critical materialsBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and cost competitivenessMonitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to inform sourcing decisionsDrive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance standardsDevelop and execute contingency plans to mitigate supply disruptions and ensure continuityEstablish and maintain procurement policies and internal control frameworks; monitor adherenceEnsure accurate documentation, approval workflows, and audit readiness for procurement activitiesPartner with Finance and Internal Audit to maintain transparency and integrity in procurement transactionsEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and applicable industry standardsCollaborate with Quality Assurance and Operations to maintain product integrity and consistencyMentor and collaborate with Supply Chain team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementPartner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and R&D to support new product development and operational needsUtilize procurement systems and tools to track KPIs, supplier performance, and cost trendsProvide regular reporting and insights to leadership on procurement performance, savings initiatives, and market outlookRequired Education/Qualifications/Experience:Bachelor's degree in operations, Business Management or equivalent experience7+ years of procurement experience, preferably within the food or dairy industry.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.Knowledge of dairy supply chain dynamics, food safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
