Procurement ManagerOpportunity to join a leading tier 1 supplier to the Aerospace industry. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement & Supply Chain, the Procurement Manager is accountable for supplier delivery performance supporting uninterrupted operations at the Garden Grove site. This role leads the day-to-day execution of procurement operations, proactively managing supplier performance, mitigating supply risk, and resolving delivery challenges to achieve 100% operational uptime.As the primary escalation point for operational buyers, the Procurement Manager provides leadership, prioritization, and issue resolution to ensure timely material flow.
This position partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and suppliers to maintain continuity of supply while driving accountability, performance improvement, and operational excellence across the supply base.ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of Operational Buyers while overseeing daily performance and executionEnsure timely procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and services in line with MRP demand and business schedulesOwn buyer KPI development and performance management, including requisition compliance, MRP execution, and delivery metricsDrive supplier performance improvement, including on time delivery, risk mitigation, and relationship managementImplement and enforce standard work, daily management routines, and procurement process disciplineEnsure purchase orders align with contracts, inventory targets, cost objectives, and compliance requirementsPromote and demonstrate behaviors aligned with company Great Place to Work values and culture principlesQualificationsBachelors degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; 7+ years of relevant aerospace industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree5+ years of relevant business experience, including 3+ years in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Production Management within the aerospace industry1+ years of experience managing and leading peopleAbility to travel up to 25% domesticallyU.S. Person, as defined by ITAR regulations, to comply with export control requirementsPreferred QualificationsAPICS, CPM, or comparable supply chain or procurement certificationWorking knowledge of FAR/DFARS requirements and contractual flow downsStrong understanding of the aerospace industry and the AS9100 Quality Management SystemStrong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesDemonstrated ability to build strong supplier relationships with insight into supplier processes and capabilitiesProven leadership experience working with cross-functional teams
