Position: Sr. Process Engineer
Location: Various locations in the Midwest and Virginia
Travel: Up to 75%
Pay Rate: 110K-165K (negotiable based on experience)
Musts (qualifications):
- 7-10+ years of hands-on industrial process engineering experience
- B.S. in Engineering required, Chemical Engineering preferred
- Experience with heat & material balances, process optimization, and troubleshooting
- Process design, commissioning, start-up, and plant support experience
- Strong data analysis skills using plant operating data
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering and operations teams
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%)
Plusses:
- Chemical Engineering degree
- Process modeling software experience
- Technology development, R&D, or pilot testing experience
- Large-scale environmental controls experience (FGD systems, emissions controls)
- Laboratory experience and statistical analysis
- Foundry coke, steel, chemical, manufacturing, or energy industry experience
- Heavy industrial manufacturing/process plant experience
- Strong process optimization and troubleshooting background
- Experience supporting new technology development and capital projects
Day to Day:
- Develop and test new technologies and process improvements
- Analyze plant data to improve efficiency and troubleshoot operational issues
- Lead field trials, proof-of-concept testing, and technology implementation
- Support capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning
- Work with operations, engineering, vendors, and customers on process improvements
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
