Located in Colorado Springs, CO this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to plan missile defense operations, monitor battles, and control sensors and weapon systems worldwide.
C2BMC supports layered missile defense against threats across all ranges and flight phases. It enhances performance by networking and synchronizing sensors and weapon systems at global and regional levels. C2BMC is required for all ground and flight tests verifying missile defense capabilities. This position is for a Systems Administrator - Integration/CDS Engineer on the C2BMC Global program supporting the development of future missile defense capabilities.Essential Functions:Responsible for developing, controlling configuration, deploying, and testing the Radiant Mercury Configuration (including Rules), with a primary focus on Common Data Services (CDS) integrationPlay a key role in ensuring smooth CDS implementation, configuration, and maintenance, and may need to travel to remote locations for CDS installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting according to Program configuration management processesAssist with integrating JEMINI Lab test suites into our development labSupport software development personnel in investigating and resolving issuesDevelop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systemsCreate and modify scripts for data analysis of input, internal, and output message dataTroubleshoot issues in both test and prototype environments; develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documentsReview and provide feedback on system specifications, development, testing, and network documents as needed, representing the Integration teamAutomate scripting to configure and maintain remote hostsMust be an effective communicator with strong writing and presentation skills, proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing toolsMust be able to collaborate effectively with a team of highly motivated integration engineers and work independently on large field projects as neededBasic Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeApplicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startA DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) is required to startNetwork Management and Monitoring Systems experienceUnderstanding of standard DOD security practices, such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation effortsProven network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experiencePreferred Qualifications:A current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret with an MDA based SCI security clearanceExperience with Radiant Mercury is strongly preferredProven experience with Ansible or other automation toolsWorking experience with GitLab/Maven is desiredCandidates experienced in planning and supporting network infrastructure deployment are highly sought afterPrior C2BMC network experience is also a plusWhat We Can Offer You: Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that fosters your growth, supporting both your success and the company's.
