Who we are looking for:

ACV is looking for an experienced Senior level People/HR leader to join our People Operations Team primarily supporting our Product and Technology Teams. We seek a candidate who has a passion for all things People, strong management and leadership skills, and a proven history of navigating complex situations successfully. The ideal candidate will be a subject‑matter expert and a collaborative influencer across the organization, taking a solution‑based approach to people challenges.

What you will be doing:

  • Partner closely with leaders and teammates to build excellent work relationships, boost morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Lead or collaborate with the entire People team and business teams on special projects that support ACV’s culture and deliver an exceptional teammate experience.
  • Act as a steward of the teammate experience and serve as a role model for ACV’s culture.
  • Champion the teammate experience by creating, supporting, and implementing people initiatives such as total rewards, learning and development, company policies, and more.
  • Partner with and coach business leaders in all areas of performance management.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and handle complex teammate‑relations issues as necessary.
  • Collaborate in the execution of ACV’s safety program, focusing on incident prevention and the safety of all teammates.
  • Work with business leaders and teammates to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, including reporting, management, and tracking, to ensure a best‑in‑class process.
  • Ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop and implement effective talent‑attraction strategies based on staffing needs.
  • Identify, develop, and execute best practices, policies, and procedures that align with business needs and improve teammate experience.
  • Provide solutions to address opportunities across all areas of People Operations.
  • Execute performance and career‑development initiatives (onboarding plans, performance feedback, succession planning, coaching, and career pathing) with leaders and the People team.
  • Collaborate with the Total Rewards team on all aspects of Total Rewards, including benefits, compensation, equity, and wellness.
  • Obtain and review regular reporting on KPIs and analyze data to assess team health.
  • Consult and advise leaders on organizational design of their teams and departments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of others within the People team, both within and outside of the immediate work team.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • A People‑first approach and a commitment to excellence.
  • BS/BA in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A passion for ACV’s mission, vision, and values.
  • 8+ years of experience in People/Human Resources or a related profession.
  • Experience working with a dispersed workforce across multiple locations.
  • In‑depth knowledge of employee relations, compensation, compliance, organizational design, benefits, and total rewards.
  • Technical proficiency with G‑Suite, Microsoft Windows, and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail and follow‑up.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple locations.
  • Strong business and People/HR acumen, including problem‑solving, critical thinking, analysis, and agility amid change.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with the full‑cycle recruitment process, total‑reward programs, and compliance.
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Independent work capability.
  • PHR and/or SHRM‑CP certification preferred.
