Our client is migrating from Oracle 11/12 to Oracle 19c, as well as moving approx 60-70% of the environment to Azure cloud. Oracle 19c and some exposure to Azure cloud is required for this.Daily Responsibilities:Manage Oracle enterprise databases in an Azure environment including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, upgrades, schema changes, etc.Upgrade old Oracle versions to the newer version on Azure CloudMigrating from Oracle 11/12 to Oracle 19CTroubleshoot and resolve issues on both on-prem and Azure Cloud environments.Perform performance tuning and optimization, query optimization, index tuning, caching, buffer tuning, etcPerform capacity planning exercises to properly identify required hardware, software, and database configuration/architecture necessary to support application needs.Implement monitoring, auditing, and alert systems for Oracle databases.Job Requirements:10+ years of experience in a Database Administration roleStrong working experience with Oracle 19C, and Knowledge of older Oracle versions 11, 12g.Good working knowledge of Azure Cloud is a must.Experience in installing, upgrading, maintaining, and supporting Oracle Instances on Linux/UNIX operating system.Experience in Oracle Data Guard and standby databases troubleshoot the log shipping issues and log maintenance.Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle RAC environment.Experience in backup/recovery strategies using RMAN and with data pump utility.Good knowledge of SHELL Scripting, and UNIX Commands to identify the OS level database parameters and resolve issues
