Why Join Rincon Research Corporation (RRC)?At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security.Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee owned company, is seeking a talented, tenacious, results-driven individualto work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with similarly motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, computer scientists, and analysts who are collectively responsible for creating custom digital signal processing solutions and leveraging them to make an operational mission impact. Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing and geolocation systems for the future!What are the primary responsibilities in the Sr. Multi-Discipline Engineer position?Responsible for the research, design, and development of advanced hardware and software systems supporting national security and space-related missions across the full engineering lifecycle, from early concept and architecture through implementation, integration, testing, and field deploymentResearch, design and develop integrated hardware and software solutions, including embedded systems, FPGA and firmware development, CPU/GPU architectures, RF and antenna systems, digital signal processing solutions, and fully integrated hardware/software systemsEngage in system architecture, requirements development, and interface designImplement and integrate solutions across embedded processors, FPGA platforms, and RF systemsDevelop and execute test plans and validation and verification procedures to ensure performance and reliabilityCollaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-performance mission systemsDocument system designs, performance analyses, and test resultsContribute to innovation, prototyping, and new product development initiativesCommunicate within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approachesWhat required background will make you successful?BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field and 15+ years of experienceExperience with one or more of the following: C, C++, Assembly, VHDL, or VerilogAbility to execute loosely specified technical scope independentlyAbility to communicate hardware and software design, complexity analysis, and performance metrics in written and oral reportsFamiliarity with microprocessors, microcontrollers, SoCs, and/or FPGA-based system designUnderstanding of hardware and software design principles and industry best practicesStrong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical workAbility to quickly learn and navigate complex codebases and system architecturesAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearanceUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDPreferred skills:Ability to lead teams of 2-3 multidisciplinary engineers/scientistsDemonstrated success working with geographically distributed teams5+ years of experience with C, C++, Assembly, VHDL, or VerilogExperience with embedded LinuxExperience with Python, shell scripting, or other high-level languagesExperience using Git or other version control systemsBackground in digital signal processing or communications systemsExperience with PCB layout and schematic captureExperience with rapid prototyping (3D printing, machining, etc.)Experience with field testing of integrated hardware/software systemsWhere is the position located?This position is located at our Centennial, CO office.*The likely salary range for this position is $219,000 to $268,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
