Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Sr. Mechanical Engineer to support the startup of a new production line that was previously mothballed and is now being revived. This role involves significant involvement in conducting acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), identifying and debugging mechanical, electrical, or software malfunctions.
- Ensure compliance with mechanical, electrical, and ergonomic safety standards.
- Oversee the fine-tuning and debugging of mechanical components within automation systems.
- Optimize equipment parameters to achieve desired Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Utilize optical instruments for precise measurements or imaging, specifically with Data Logic and Cognex vision systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain records, generate reports, and ensure compliance.
Essential Skills
- High-level expertise in SAT/FAT execution.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in high-speed machine automation, preferably in the medical device industry.
- 7-10 years of experience in line commissioning with a focus on mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in basic office programs such as Word, Excel, and Project.
- Basic awareness of ISO standards.
