Sr. Mechanical Validation EngineerLocation: Sumter SC Duration: Long termWe are seeking a dedicated Sr. Mechanical Engineer to support the startup of a new production line that was previously mothballed and is now being revived.
This role involves significant involvement in conducting acceptance tests, troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal performance of mechanical systems.Responsibilities:Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), identifying and debugging mechanical, electrical, or software malfunctions.Ensure compliance with mechanical, electrical, and ergonomic safety standards.Oversee the fine-tuning and debugging of mechanical components within automation systems.Optimize equipment parameters to achieve desired Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).Utilize optical instruments for precise measurements or imaging, specifically with Data Logic and Cognex vision systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain records, generate reports, and ensure compliance.Essential Skills:High-level expertise in SAT/FAT execution.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience in high-speed machine automation, preferably in the medical device industry.7-10 years of experience in line commissioning with a focus on mechanical engineering.Proficiency in basic office programs such as Word, Excel, and Project.Basic awareness of ISO standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with SAT/FAT processes in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.Molding experience is a plus.Must possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.Ability to integrate with the client's site engineering team, working closely with Mechanical/Electrical technicians and operators.
