This role emphasizes expertise in developing and validating test solutions for optical systems (TOSA and ROSA, as well as transceivers, optical engines, switches) using advanced optical and high-speed communication test equipment within a large-scale manufacturing environment. The Hardware Test Development Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products, with a particular focus on optical and high-speed communication technologies. You will apply hands-on experience with optical test equipment (fiber passive components, tunable lasers, optical power meters, OSAs) and high-speed communication test systems (SMUs, VNAs, DCAs, BERTs) to support the end-to-end architecture, definition, development, and production deployment of test solutions and manufacturing applications.
You will also collaborate closely with internal engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, as well as end customers, to ensure deliverables meet the rigorous standards required for high-performance optical and datacom products in Jabil's world-class manufacturing environments.What will you do?Test System Development: Design and develop test systems and procedures for manufacturing processes. This includes creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts to assess the functionality and performance of hardware components or devices such as motherboard, memory, CPU, storage (SSD, HDD, NVMe) and PCIE devices (NIC, GPU, Mezz cards, RAID cards)Test Software Development: Create, validate, release, and maintain test software and scripts that automate the testing process.
