Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Equipment with strong mechatronics and manufacturing equipment experience. This role will focus on equipment ownership, production ramp-up, troubleshooting, reliability, continuous improvement, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment. The engineer will provide hands-on floor support and work closely with manufacturing, controls, quality, and operations teams to improve equipment performance and minimize downtime.
Important Duties:
• Own the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment.
• Support production ramp-up, equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Participate in design reviews, FATs, and SATs from a manufacturing equipment owner perspective.
• Analyze production data, downtime trends, and equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead equipment improvement projects involving mechanical systems, tooling, fixturing, station layouts, and process optimization.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and system-level equipment issues in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
• Optimize equipment parameters and station configurations in collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams.
• Develop and implement equipment standards, maintenance strategies, and reliability improvements.
• Design or support creative tooling and fixtures to improve throughput, reduce downtime, and increase equipment efficiency.
• Provide hands-on manufacturing floor support during production events, equipment ramp-up, and process changes.
• Collaborate with equipment, controls, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to drive timely execution and resolution.
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of relevant manufacturing/equipment engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
• Experience with equipment ownership, commissioning, ramp-up, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, controls, and system-level troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment such as furnaces, web or powder handling equipment, mixers, resistance welders, laminators, or similar automated equipment.
• Experience with root cause analysis, downtime reduction, equipment reliability, tooling, and fixturing.
• Ability to work hands-on in a high-volume manufacturing environment and collaborate cross-functionally.
