Job Overview

Job Title: Senior Manager – Accounting.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour or $87,900–$158,200 annually.

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 7 people focused on accounts payable for ~$4-5B annual capital spend, and oversee capital‑spending governance and budgets.
• Oversee technical accounting for all capital projects, including SEC disclosure review and cash glide presentation.
• Lead the team’s approach to accounts payable, ensuring compliance with SOX and non‑SOX controls.
• Build relationships with key partners in production, real estate, supply chain, technology, and finance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting systems and processes across multiple procurement platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of accounting, finance, or commercial business experience.
• Experience managing a team.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills, with ability to identify technical accounting matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and process automation; SAP experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance.

Work Arrangement

Remote or hybrid arrangement may be considered based on the candidate’s preference. Hybrid work includes a mix of virtual and onsite work at a Target location. Remote work allows full‑time work from home or an alternate area outside the Target area, with occasional travel to HQ up to four times per year. Work must be performed within the United States unless otherwise specified.
