The Studio Financial Planning & Analysis team is seeking a talented FP&A Senior Manager to support Eyeline, Interpositive, and the Animation INKubator. These represent Netflix’s key investments in production innovation: Eyeline is Netflix’s large‑scale VFX, Generative FX, and Virtual Production innovation company; Interpositive is Netflix’s newly‑acquired filmmaking and editorial AI innovation company; and the Animation INKubator is Netflix’s pioneering team creating animated shorts and specials using experimental, creative‑led, GenAI‑native production pipelines. This Senior Manager will play a key role in driving financial planning, providing strategic insights, and partnering cross‑functionally to support the growth and operational excellence of our business units across a global footprint. This role will also serve as a critical and integrated business partner to each unit’s leadership and to overall Content Operations & Innovation leadership, based in Los Angeles with occasional travel to Vancouver, Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead near‑ and long‑term P&L forecasting for Eyeline, Interpositive, and the Animation INKubator
  • Own headcount planning and people cost management
  • Conduct financial scenario analyses to support strategic decision‑making and business scaling
  • Drive analysis to support investment memos, deal analysis, go/no‑go decisions, and new initiatives
  • Capex planning/forecasting
  • Develop and enhance financial KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to drive insights
  • Partner cross‑functionally to evolve financial frameworks supporting both management and GAAP reporting
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly business review presentations, synthesizing performance across each entity
  • Support the implementation of dynamic financial planning tools and drive automation across systems and processes
  • Coordinate forecasts and consolidations across multiple stakeholders
  • Finance point person for the businesses that will interface/partner with other Finance functions (Accounting, Tax, etc.)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing FP&A team
  • Drive Innovation: Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and outputs as the business evolves

Qualifications

  • Highly analytical & strategic, with strong, effective communication skills
  • Sound understanding of related accounting guidance
  • Ability to anticipate and exceed the business demands of senior‑level executives, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
  • Motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to work effectively autonomously in a flat organization
  • Prior experience in media, entertainment, VFX, production, or another project/production‑based business is prioritized; proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and actionable recommendations

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in an FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Planning role, including people‑management experience
  • Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analyses, including headcount/position planning and opex management in a complex, multi‑entity or multi‑region organization
  • Proficiency working with systems and automated reporting tools (e.g., Anaplan, Workday, Oracle/TM1, Looker); financial systems implementation experience is a plus
  • Superior proficiency with Excel and complex financial modeling
  • Experience using AI tools to build reports, dashboards, and enhance personal productivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 4‑year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance; MBA a plus
  • Genuine passion and excitement for Netflix’s unique culture
  • Exposure to international finance topics – multi‑currency, intercompany, and government incentives/grants (e.g., Korea) – is a plus

Compensation

This role’s compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary. The market range for this position is $325,000.00 – $500,000.00.
