Sr. Manager – Strategy
Partner closely with ADP Small Business Services executives to define, communicate, and execute business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Run assigned initiatives or projects, including breaking down problems, building a business plan, stakeholder conversations, and problem‑solving on financial model levers.
- Manage strategy processes, e.g., program managing the annual strategy planning cycle, board meetings, etc.
- Partner with peers in corporate strategy to translate corporate‑led initiatives to business‑unit specific actions.
- Partner with the business unit leader on additional projects, including preparation for client meetings, board presentations, etc.
- Develop compelling PowerPoint presentations that articulate strategic options and support executive decision‑making.
- Conduct competitive and customer research, stakeholder interviews, and secondary research.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in relevant strategy roles; 3+ years in management consulting or an in‑house strategy team, preferably at a top‑tier consulting firm or technology company.
- Proven experience building and obtaining approval for a business case.
- Strong content creation and business storytelling/presentation skills using PowerPoint.
- Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including C‑Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills; experience presenting to senior leaders.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA or master’s degree is a plus.
- Prior experience with product and sales and/or knowledge of SaaS or go‑to‑market strategies is a plus.
- Experience with data visualization (e.g., BI and Tableau) and ability to translate into business‑relevant insights is a plus.
- Prior small‑business experience is beneficial but not required.
