The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Senior Manager, Strategic R&D Operations serves as a strategic business partner to the Vice President of R&D and a key member of the Dental Solutions R&D leadership team. This role enables organizational effectiveness by connecting strategy to execution, driving operational excellence and facilitating alignment across global R&D teams.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, organizational agility and the ability to influence without direct authority.
As a Sr. Manager, Strategy R&D Operations, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
- Partner with the Vice President of R&D and the Dental Solutions R&D leadership team to advance strategic priorities, annual plans and organizational objectives.
- Translate strategy into action by leading cross-functional initiatives, transformation efforts and operating model improvements that strengthen execution and business performance.
- Lead business reviews, organizational metrics and executive reporting to create visibility, clarity and accountability for key commitments.
- Support financial planning, resource allocation, investment prioritization and long-term laboratory capability planning across global R&D sites.
- Connect leaders, functions and global teams to align priorities, facilitate decision making and strengthen operational excellence.
The role also supports the advancement of global laboratory capabilities through strategic planning, operational coordination and continuous improvement initiatives that enable current and future innovation needs.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience supporting senior leaders and driving organizational projects in a matrixed environment.
- Experience with financial planning, resource management, organizational performance measurement or executive reporting.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Experience in a medical device, healthcare or other regulated environment
- Experience within innovation, solution development or a technical organization
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, change leadership, executive communication and data-driven decision-making skills
- Medical device, healthcare or regulated industry experience preferred.
Location and Travel
- Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Eagan Hub at least 3 days per week)
- Travel: May include up to 15% travel (domestic and international)

Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $187,600 - $257,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
