Sr. Manager, Strategic Commodity Management
Location: San Jose, CA – fully on-site, 5 days a week.
Role and Responsibilities
- Global commodity management of strategic tier 1 and 2 suppliers, emphasizing global sources of raw materials.
- Serve as SME on the Chrome supply chain.
- Hold QBRs, identify and develop new suppliers, coordinate internally as needed to meet operational targets for supply, cost reduction and OTD.
- Influence supplier capacity planning; negotiate MOUs, LOIs and contracts; maintain and develop close supplier relationships at executive levels.
- Approximately 30‑40% international travel.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of strategic sourcing of metals, REE’s, chemicals, ceramic or metal powders.
- Extensive global supplier development experience; mining experience a plus; prior management experience a plus.
- Prefer a technical degree.
Physical Requirements (optional)
- Must be able to bend, lift up to 25 lbs, walk, and stand for 2 hours consecutively.
Compensation
Salary Range: $178,800.00 – $257,200.00 (based on experience and qualifications).
