Sr. Manager, Sourcing

JOB SUMMARYThe Senior Manager of Sourcing is the liaison between the Buyer and agents/factories. This position is responsible for partnering closely with the Sr. Director of Sourcing in developing the overall sourcing strategy by category.ROLE SCOPELead the Product Partner Matrix processCompile and analyze data (Product Partner Scorecard) and make recommendations for grow/maintain/declinePartner with Sr Director of Sourcing, Trend and Merchant Partners to align the matrix to the business needs Identify any gaps in the matrix and present recommendations to fill to the teamBalance global risks with country-of-origin diversification plans Communicate action plans with Agents/Product PartnersAssist in onboarding new agents/factoriesTrack, report and manage agent/factory performanceDrive margin savings through cost negotiations during the development processIdentify cost improvement opportunities (bidding)Clarify and communicate specs and product engineering details, labeling, and packaging instructions and other information to in country sourcing and/or vendors Negotiate the costs from the directivesCompile and submit costing worksheets for PO creation to Merchant PartnersSupport strategic initiatives in coordination with the Sr Director of Sourcing and cross-functional partnersPlan and manage international development tripsExecute, manage, and report on production, resolve any issues to ensure on-time deliveryDevelop team talent across all areasBuild collaborative relationships with business and support teamsPerform project work as assigned Clearly communicate to vendor partners the guidelines of the ticketing and domestic / import shipping manualsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requiredCandidate must have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in international sourcing and/or buying, preferably within home goods, working directly with agents/factoriesStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to source from and work with overseas markets as neededStrong ability to identify global issues and communicate within the organizationDemonstrate strong analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skillsAbility develop/maintain strong working relationship with peers and cross-functional teamsDemonstrates leadership and decision-making skillsDemonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skillsWilling and able to travel for market and store tripsFlexible and adaptive to changing prioritiesPossesses a clear understanding of the supply chain: product development, sourcing, packaging and shippingAble to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlineTakes calculated risks to achieve results Develops creative solutions to business issuesPrior experience working in a US/European retail business model is a plusInternational travel requiredOUR MISSION, VISION, VALUESMISSION: We empower people to design their best life at home through style, quality, and everyday value.VISION: To be the most loved home brand inspiring people to live beautifully every day.VALUES:Create and Inspire – Creativity and innovation inspire our customers and each other to do better and be better together.Win Together – Great teams are inclusive, collaborative, and high performing. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 10+ years in international sourcing or buying, preferably in home goods. Strong analytical, negotiating and problem‑solving skills. Proven project management and organizational abilities.

Experience working directly with overseas agents/factories. Excellent written and oral communication; ability to build cross‑functional relationships. Demonstrated leadership and decision‑making capability. Willingness to travel internationally for market and store trips. Understanding of product development, sourcing, packaging and shipping processes. Prior experience in a US/European retail business model is a plus. Lead the Product Partner Matrix process and analyze scorecards to recommend growth, maintenance, or decline actions. Align the matrix with business needs and present gap‑filling recommendations. Balance global risk with country‑of‑origin diversification plans. Onboard new agents/factories and monitor their performance. Negotiate costs, drive margin savings, and identify bidding opportunities. Clarify specs, labeling, packaging and submit costing worksheets for PO creation. Support strategic initiatives and coordinate cross‑functional projects. Plan and execute international development trips; ensure on‑time production and issue resolution.
