Job Overview
Title: Sr Manager – Floor Operations Portfolio & Delivery.
Company: Southwest Airlines.
Location: Boise, USA. Hybrid role primarily based out of Dallas, TX; requires onsite presence 3 days a week.
Salary: $20-30 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Manage floor Operations tasks and product projects through portfolio management.
- Collaborate with floor Operations, Generation, and Pass‑departmental management.
- Lead team, plan projects, and execute delivery of ground Operations assistance and strategic plans.
- Facilitate and sustain floor Operations’ strategic plan.
- Deliver prioritized projects for ground Operations assistance.
- Ensure the ground Operations portfolio supports business and departmental goals.
- Develop, improve, and support portfolio management standards, practices, and governance; align with corporate PMO and LPM requirements.
- Ensure all tasks undergo floor Operations management assessment, approval, and prioritization.
- Measure portfolio health, escalating issues, risks, and decisions to floor Operations senior leadership.
- Engage stakeholders to define appropriate solutions to departmental possibilities.
- Align portfolio functions across departments, including Operation, Technology, Customer Service, Commercial and Approach departments.
- Lead and facilitate meetings and presentations to all levels of leadership, including C‑suite, government, and senior VPs.
- Expand and provide plans, enterprise cases, and presentations for projects that articulate vision and strategy for diverse audiences.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships and credibility with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Perform additional tasks as directed with leader’s assistance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Educational Requirement).
- High school degree or GED (Required).
- U.S. Citizenship or authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship available.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex problems concisely.
- Experience managing portfolio, programs, or projects; experience in multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Leadership experience leading teams and mentoring.
- Ability to develop and deliver executive‑level presentations.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving complex business challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills for in‑person, phone, or written interactions.
- Ability to build cross‑functional alliances and relationships with vendors.
- Physical ability to work at a limited space workstation/desk for extended periods.
- Ability to use laptop and office productivity tools efficiently.
Pay & Advantages
Competitive market salary from $144,000 annually to $160,200 annually, plus additional bonuses at the discretion of the company.
