Sr. Manager of Clinic Research Services – Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop the Manager Clinical Research Nurses, Manager Research Care Support, and Manager Clinical Support Services.
  • Provide oversight, leadership, and support of organizational processes during study activation and maintenance of trials to ensure compliance with research mandates.
  • Assist with queries from internal colleagues, sponsors, and CROs.
  • Oversee inventory and evaluate acquisition of study supplies.
  • Develop, maintain, and report performance metrics and expectations to leadership.
  • Provide clinical research nurses, research care, and clinical support for site audits and CAPAs.
  • Build and manage strategic internal and external relationships.
  • Meet weekly with the Director to communicate key issues, progress, and risks.
  • Engage SCRI Oncology Partners, TCMC, and other external leaders to coordinate clinical support for research patients.
  • Collaborate with SCRI site leadership on process improvement strategies and monitor progress of the research teams.
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and executing SOPs, WIs, and job aids.
  • Complete protocol training as per standard operating procedures.
  • Attend staff and other assigned meetings.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality according to ethical and legal requirements.
  • Adhere to appropriate standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • At least one year of experience in Clinical Research.
  • Registered Nurse preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working in oncology.
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial protocols.
  • General knowledge of Regulatory Research and Quality Assurance guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills with physicians and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Public presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Adaptability to changing team and environmental needs.
  • Self‑direction with prioritization of simultaneous tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred.
