Sr. Manager of Clinical Research Services

Overview

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), a McKesson subsidiary, invites mission-driven candidates to join a leading community-based cancer program. This role, Sr. Manager of Clinic Research Services, is responsible for executing the strategy for Clinical Research teams including clinic research care, clinic research nurses, and clinical support service teams. This includes setting goals, defining metrics, and managing daily operations along with hiring and developing managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and development of the Manager Clinical Research Nurses, Manager Research Care Support, and Manager Clinical Support Services.
• Oversee organizational processes during study activation and maintenance of trials to ensure quality research compliance.
• Monitor and assist with queries from internal colleagues, sponsors, and CROs.
• Oversee inventory and evaluate acquisition of study supplies required.
• Develop, maintain, and report performance metrics and expectations for the research nurse, research care, and clinical support services teams.
• Provide clinical research nurses, research care, and clinical support for site audits and CAPAs.
• Build and manage strategic internal and external relationships.
• Meet with the Director weekly to communicate key issues, progress, and risks related to laboratory, research care, and clinical support services.
• Collaborate with SCRI Oncology Partners, TCMC, and other external leaders on clinical support for research patients and process optimization.
• Engage with SCRI site leadership on strategies for process improvement and strategic initiatives; execute and monitor progress for teams.
• Assist in the creation, development, maintenance, and execution of SOPs, work instructions (WIs), and job aids.
• Complete protocol training per standard operating procedures.
• Attend staff and other assigned meetings; maintain patient confidentiality per ethical and legal requirements; adhere to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree (Bachelor Degree preferred).
• At least one year of experience in Clinical Research; Registered Nurse preferred.
• At least one year of experience in oncology.
• Working knowledge of clinical trials protocol; general knowledge of Regulatory Research and Quality Assurance guidelines.
• Strong communication with physicians and internal/external stakeholders; public presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse team; critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptable to changing team and work environment; ability to self-direct and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred.
