About This Role
Strategic Vision & Data Leadership
Define and own the forward‑looking vision for how marketing data is structured, accessed, and activated across the Partnership Division — consistently pushing beyond what is asked to identify new opportunities for data to drive business outcomes.
Champion the use of Snowflake and Snowflake views as the foundational data layer for marketing operations, serving as the primary marketing voice in enterprise data architecture conversations alongside Data Engineering and IT.
Strategic Roadmap
Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for how FNBO's data connects to and powers experiences within Zeta / ZMP — including ZMP audience builds and activation — with a continuous focus on unlocking new platform capabilities to drive personalized, multi‑channel experiences for existing customers.
Continuously evaluate data platforms, ensuring long‑term sustainability and leveraging AI and agents within both Zeta / ZMP and Snowflake as appropriate.
Drive the strategic vision to make data more accessible, ensuring that the team is leveraging AI as well as all functionality available to them within Zeta / ZMP to tell a data story for the strategists.
Proactively identify gaps between current data capabilities and marketing strategy needs — bringing recommendations forward before they are requested, and ensuring the team is always operating at the leading edge of what is possible.
Acquisition Data Platform Ownership
Own the end‑to‑end relationship with FNBO's acquisition data platform vendor, including contract management, performance accountability, and day‑to‑day partnership.
Continuously evaluate vendor strategy, capabilities, and market alternatives to ensure FNBO has access to the best available data for consumer and small business acquisition efforts.
Lead any vendor transition process end‑to‑end — including requirements definition, competitive evaluation, selection, and implementation oversight.
Ensure acquisition data quality, coverage, and compliance standards are met and continuously improved.
Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert on acquisition data capabilities and how they integrate with the broader marketing data strategy as well as connect to the respective channels.
Marketing Operations Enablement
Serve as the data strategy and operational backbone for the marketing strategy team — ensuring the right criteria, data connections, and outputs are always in place to support campaign execution.
Translate complex business requirements from marketing operations teams into scalable technical solutions, audience strategies — including ZMP audience construction and activation — and data outputs.
Ensure the team is consistently leveraging the full capabilities of FNBO's marketing platform to support existing customer engagement and personalization goals.
Oversee the governance and continuous improvement of automated strategies that increase the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of marketing execution.
Ensure pricing and criteria frameworks remain current, accurate, and aligned to product strategy and compliance requirements.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing engineering professionals spanning automation & file strategy, pricing & criteria disciplines, and data output.
Cultivate a team culture that thinks beyond the immediate ask — one that deeply understands FNBO's data assets and proactively brings recommendations that advance the marketing strategy.
Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and actively invest in the career development of each team member.
Build a high‑performing, collaborative environment that balances technical rigor with strategic curiosity.
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across Marketing, Data & Modeling, IT, Compliance, and external partners to drive alignment and execution.
Serve as a key contributor and influential voice in FNBO's Snowflake data strategy, ensuring marketing data needs are well‑represented in enterprise decisions owned by Data Engineering and IT.
Collaborate closely with the Marketing Technology team that owns the Zeta / ZMP vendor relationship as well as the Print & Content team that owns the Naehas vendor relationship, contributing data strategy and integration expertise to maximize platform effectiveness.
Represent Marketing Engineering in cross‑functional planning sessions, roadmap discussions, and strategic initiatives — consistently connecting operational capabilities to broader business outcomes.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure all data handling, file production, and marketing automation activities adhere to applicable regulatory requirements and FNBO's data governance standards.
Maintain clear documentation of data flows, file specifications, vendor integrations, and system dependencies.
Guide team to build appropriate controls and monitoring for all marketing data functions.
Uphold data privacy and security standards across all acquisition and customer data touchpoints.
