Your Role
- Federal Tax: Manage preparation and review of U.S. federal corporate income tax returns; oversee estimated tax payments and extensions; ensure compliance with federal tax regulations and filing deadlines; and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
- State and Local Tax (SALT): Manage multi-state income, franchise, and gross receipts tax filings; monitor nexus issues and changing state tax laws; review apportionment calculations and state tax provisions; lead state audit responses and controversy matters.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions; calculate deferred tax assets and liabilities; maintain tax account reconciliations; support tax reporting packages; and scheduling / forecasting of certain tax attributes and certain components of tax expense.
- Analyze impacts of new legislation and regulatory changes; advise business on tax implications of transactions and new initiatives; support mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and entity planning.
- Lead and mentor tax staff and senior tax analysts; manage relationships with outside service providers; work closely with global tax leadership team; lead process improvements and automation efforts.
Your Profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA or Master's in Taxation strongly preferred.
- 7-10+ years of tax experience, with Big 4 firm and/or large multinational.
- Strong knowledge of US Federal Income Tax, State and Local Tax (SALT), ASC 740 Tax Accounting, Corporate Tax Compliance, Tax Research and Planning.
- Experience with tax software; preferably OneSource.
Salary Range: Lexington, KY Minimum of $140,200 per year and maximum of $192,700 per year. All employees eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
