This role will report to Director, EHS and based in Newark, DE .The Senior Manager, EHS will lead safety culture transformation while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational integration across a rapidly expanding manufacturing footprint.This position will be responsible for implementation of EHS program and policies in the Delaware manufacturing facility campus. This position is a leader who can independently own site EHS performance, lead complex incident investigations, and partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Quality, and Supply Chain to embed EHS into daily operations and future growth.Supports the corporate EHS organization in the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Environmental Health and Safety programs for the Delaware manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with corporate, Federal, state, and local regulatory requirementsLead the site-wide safety strategy with a focus on culture change, accountability, and employee engagementDevelop and implement programs such as Safety Observations and behavior-based safety initiativesEstablish clear expectations for safety ownership across all levels of the organization.Hold leaders and teams accountable for safety performance and corrective actions.Serve as the primary escalation point for safety concerns and risk mitigation decisions.Lead high-quality incident investigations using structured root cause analysis methodologiesConduct and oversee:Incident investigations (recordable and serious injury/fatality potential events)Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)Apply or implement TapRooT to drive consistency and depthDevelop and ensure execution of effective, sustainable corrective actionsBuild and maintain a site-wide corrective action tracking and verification processPartner with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, and Facilities to proactively identify and mitigate risksSupport design, installation, and ramp-up of new manufacturing lines, including solvent-based IC cell printingIntegrate EHS requirements into equipment design, process development, and operational workflowsEnsure strong implementation of core safety programs (e.g., LOTO, machine guarding, hazard communication, PPE, etc.)Own regulatory compliance and direct interaction with agenciesManage environmental programs including:Hazardous waste management (RCRA)Stormwater permitting or No Exposure CertificationSpill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC)Tier II reportingServe as the site lead for inspections, audits, and regulatory correspondenceEnsure compliance obligations are integrated into operational processes and expansion planningMaintain and improve EHS programs aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 principlesDrive continuous improvement through metrics, audits, and corrective action systems under the iso-based EHS Management SystemAct as the key EHS partner to Manufacturing Ops, Engineering, Facilities, Quality, and Supply ChainLead cross-functional teams to resolve safety and environmental challengesInfluence business decisions to ensure EHS considerations are embedded early in planning and executionBalance operational demands with compliance and risk management prioritiesUse Excel or other programs to record data and compile it into statistical analyses and reportsAssist in maintaining, updating and coordinating EHS training programsProvide training for OSHA regulatory topics such as Electrical Safety, LOTO, Forklift, Hazard communication and other programsFacilitate safety committee meetingsAttend meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functionsRespond to emergency situationsPerform additional functions incidental to health and safety activities such as air and noise industrial hygiene monitoringSkills and Experience:BS in Environmental Health Sciences, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and related Engineering.8 to 10 or more years of experience in environmental Safety & Health, preferably within a manufacturing and/or energy organizationUnderstand DOT, EPA, OSHA regulations, and NFPA standardsHave advanced industrial hygiene, occupational safety, hazardous waste, hazardous material knowledgeMust have good interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise between company departmentsExcellent skills using Excel, Power Point, and other MS softwarePresentation skillsDemonstrated experience in:Incident investigation and root cause analysis (TapRoot preferred)ISO 45001 and ISO 14001Strong influencing skills; ability to drive accountability without direct authorityHigh level of ownership and comfort engaging with regulatory agenciesBloom Energy is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
