Sr Lead Software Engineer - Java, Corporate Tech

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more of Java, Spring Boot, React, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Deep expertise in Java, object-oriented design, and system design
• Experience leading the effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for activities such as coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting, and setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization such as Docker and Kubernetes/ECS/EKS, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with REST or GraphQL API design and integration patterns
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant practices and controls
• Ability to independently resolve design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight
• Practical cloud-native experience

• Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others
• Promote and govern approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Establish measurable standards for validating AI-assisted work, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and encourage reuse of proven patterns and automation across the SDLC/TLM toolchain
• Use software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale
• Influence product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas
• Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
