Sr. Java Engineer

About the role We're hiring a Sr. Java Engineer to support a large-scale infrastructure modernization effort. You'll work on high-throughput services, contribute to a multi-year consolidation project, and eventually take on our proprietary licensing and cryptography systems.

What you'll work on

• First 90 days: Get up to speed on our hybrid infrastructure and Java 8–25 codebase; start contributing to our REST APIs and Spring Boot services.
• First year: Help consolidate services, improve reliability, and increase throughput as part of our infrastructure modernization project.
• Longer term: Take ownership of our licensing and cryptography systems, which support digital goods delivery to millions of users.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL
• Strong API design skills
• Comfortable with Agile workflows and AI-assisted development tools

Nice to have

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Front-end experience with modern UI frameworks
