The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer - Distributed Hosting is a key member of the Global Infrastructure & Operations (GIO) organization and is responsible for ensuring the performance, implementation, and engineering of hosting platforms and solutions.
This role will focus on partnering across GIS, GIO, and with our operations partner to drive business value through execution and problem-solving. This role focuses on engineering excellence, platform lifecycle management, and proactive improvement initiatives. The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Distributed Hosting will play a key role in maintaining platform integrity, supporting project delivery, and driving continuous improvement across enterprise hosting platforms.
This includes Wintel server environments, VMWare platform, compute and storage hardware, use of automation and AI, and other related technologies and platforms. In addition, a comprehensive understanding of other operating systems used in hosting environments is essential to ensure versatile support and effective integration across diverse technology QualificationBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR Equivalent experience10+ years of experience in hosting architecture, with a focus on enterprise-scale environmentsExperience, Knowledge, And AbilitiesProven track record of providing technical consultation and collaborationUnderstanding of Windows Server platforms, enterprise OS platforms, VMware vSphere/ESXi, and enterprise compute and storage systemsFamiliarity with engineering and deploying backup technologies along with implementing robust disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) processes and proceduresExperience with infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuningKnowledge of datacenter environment solutions required for the design, deployment, health and support of the infrastructure and application ecosystem (power, cooling, fire, connectivity, security, etc.)Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for infrastructure management
