This role is in Textron System's Legal business area.About This Role The Sr. Export/Import Compliance Analyst will proactively oversee all export compliance matters for Textron Unmanned Air Systems located in Hunt Valley, MD. S/he will interact with employees at all levels and will work both independently and with other members of the business and members of the Legal, Contracts & Compliance Department staff on a variety of international trade compliance matters.
The role requires successful management of a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.Responsibilities include:Provide a full range of proactive export compliance guidance to program management, contracts, procurement, business development, shipping, security and other functional areas within the CompanyPrepare and submit DDTC and Commerce license applications, Technical AssistanceAssist in the research and interpretation of export compliance regulationsDetermine the applicability of ITAR exemptions, ECCNs and use of Commerce exceptionsWork collaboratively with in-house attorneys and outside council to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsProvide support in connection with internal/external audits and investigationsTrack application status, maintain database of granted export approvals, satisfy record-keeping requirements, and prepare required reportsPerform self-assessmentsAssist in maintaining up-to-date Export Compliance Policies, Procedures and ManualsPlan and conduct employee trainingQualifications:Bachelor's Degree (emphasis on international business or law a plus)Minimum of 8 years of ITAR compliance experience, with progressively more complex responsibilities, as well as working knowledge of Import and Customs Regulations and EAR required.Prefer experience in government contracting and international trade compliance areas, such as FCPA, Antiboycott and OFACAbility to obtain DoD Security ClearanceHow We Care At Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
