This role serves as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and assists with payroll administration, talent acquisition coordination, onboarding and orientation, benefits administration, HR systems maintenance, employee data management, and general HR operations.

The Sr. HR Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance requirements, and contributing to the efficient operations of the HR department.This is a hybrid role, based out of our Global Support Center in Rosemont, IL – M/F are remote and Tu-Th are in-office collaboration days #LI-HybridAs our Sr. Human Resources Coordinator, you will:Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the third-party payroll provider, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processingCoordinate payroll-related activities, including time collection, employee status changes, compensation updates, deductions, garnishments, and other payroll inputsReview payroll reports and audit payroll data for accuracy prior to processingResearch and resolve payroll discrepancies by working directly with employees, managers, and payroll managed services providerRespond to employee inquiries regarding pay, tax withholdings, deductions, direct deposit changes, and payroll processesMaintain payroll records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsAssist with year-end payroll activities, audits, reporting requirements, and employee tax documentationPartner with Human Resources, Finance, and the payroll provider to continuously improve payroll processes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsMonitor service levels and maintain a strong working relationship with the payroll provider to ensure efficient and effective payroll administrationCoordinate interview scheduling between candidates, hiring managers, recruiters, and interview teamsManage interview logistics, including conference room reservations, calendars, travel arrangements, and candidate communicationsPrepare offer-related documentation and support pre-employment activitiesAssist with candidate tracking and recruitment reportingSupport recruiting events, career fairs, and other talent acquisition initiativesCoordinate new hire onboarding activities and pre-employment documentationConduct or support new hire orientation programsEnsure completion of required onboarding paperwork and compliance requirementsCoordinate equipment, badge access, and other new hire readiness activities with internal departmentsHelp create a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience for new employeesServe as a first point of contact for employee benefits inquiriesAssist employees with enrollment, life event changes, and benefits-related documentationSupport annual open enrollment activities and employee communicationsCoordinate with benefit vendors and internal stakeholders regarding benefits administration issuesMaintain accurate benefits records and reportingMaintain employee records in Workday and UKGProcess and manage transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, terminations, and organizational updatesConduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy and integrityGenerate standard reports and support HR metrics reporting requirementsMaintain personnel files in accordance with company policies and legal requirementsRespond to employee questions regarding HR policies, programs, payroll, benefits, and proceduresAssist with the administration of company programs and employee initiativesSupport employee communication efforts and HR-related announcementsCoordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, wellness activities, and company-sponsored eventsAssist with planning and execution of employee appreciation events, service award programs, volunteer activities, and culture-building initiativesAssist with policy administration and compliance-related activitiesAll other duties and responsibilities reasonably related to the job descriptionWhat Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Sr. Human Resources Coordinator:3-4 years' experience in human resources, including payroll, requiredBachelor's degree in HR or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, requiredIntermediate knowledge of HR processes and employment regulationsVery high level of customer service orientationAbility to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a dynamic environment.Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionAt Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we think customer first, play as one team, and raise the bar on fitness innovation —in the gym and in every corner of our facilities. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $53,800 - $75,600 annually.This role is categorized as non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law.The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities.
