Sr Functional Architect – S/4HANA RISE – Financial Planning & AccountingThe Functional Architect will lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA RISE solutions for Financial Planning and Accounting processes. This role is responsible for driving fit-to-standard adoption, defining end-to-end business processes, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring the solution meets compliance, reporting, and operational requirements.Essential duties and responsibilities:Serve as the primary subject matter expert on S/4HANA Finance modules, including: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Controlling (CO), Bank Accounting, and Financial PlanningDefine the target business processes in alignment with SAP best practices and organizational objectivesLead Fit-to-Standard workshops to capture business requirements, assess gaps, and recommend solutionsDevelop functional design specifications for configurations, enhancements, and integrations with upstream/downstream systemsOversee system configuration and validate end-to-end solution designCollaborate with technical architects, data migration teams, and integration leads to ensure solution integrityEnsure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and data privacy regulationsSupport testing strategy, scenario development, and defect resolutionProvide guidance on user training, change management, and go-live readinessAct as a key liaison between business leaders, internal technology teams, and external System Integration (SI) partners to ensure alignment and effective deliveryQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related fieldSAP S/4HANA certifications (Finance) strongly preferred10+ years of experience in SAP Finance solutions, with at least 2 end-to-end S/4HANA implementations (including RISE)Expertise in SAP Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, CO, AA, etc.)Strong understanding of Financial Planning processes (Budgeting, Forecasting, Management Reporting)Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps and S/4HANA innovations (Universal Journal, Embedded Analytics) and its impact on finance processesExperience in Fit-to-Standard implementation methodologyPrior experience working in a high-tech manufacturing environment, supporting complex global business models and supply chain integrationsProven ability to collaborate effectively with global teams across multiple time zonesExperience engaging with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners to drive consensus and accountabilityKnowledge of compliance and audit requirements in finance processesAbility to design integrations with Procurement, Sales, and HR processesAbility to work in a hybrid delivery model with onshore and offshore teamsSignificant hands-on experience in both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA FinanceExperience with data migration strategies and execution during SAP S/4HANA implementations.Skills:Strong business-facing skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
