Senior Financial Analyst - MarketingLocated in Redwood City, CA, the Senior Financial Analyst role reports into the Manager of FP&A and will provide an excellent opportunity to be a collaborative business partner and trusted advisor for the senior management team of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Organization which includes both the GLOBALMARKETING ORGANIZATION as well as ORIGIN.The Global Marketing Organization (GMO) is responsible for planning and execution of long term strategic marketing initiatives for all franchises across the globe. Origin is the direct to consumer division of Electronic Arts providing cross platform gaming services and support for EA's gaming portfolio.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the ongoing requirements for monthly close for PR, Web Development, and Analytics groups within the Marketing organization, which includes accruals, reclasses, headcount and balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysisWork directly with business partners to forecast and proactively manage risks and opportunitiesDevelop business processes and reporting to ensure business partners have a clear understanding of:Their financial plan for the year including headcountTheir current forecast and changes from PlanTheir current and YTD financial performance vs. Plan and prior forecastSet control processes in place to manage spending and headcount within plan levels.
Set-up and manage financial reviews with business partners every month to analyze results, forecast spending, and headcount. Ensure compliance with EA's policies and proceduresProvide succinct analysis on various marketing contracts for CMO senior leadership teamAssist with consolidation and reporting to Corporate (close pack, R&O, etc.)Support ad hoc requests from executive management and CMO senior staff as needed – could include BOD decks, analysis for Earnings, staffing/spending analysis, etc.TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:BA in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and 3-5 years minimum of relevant business experienceAdvanced accounting and financial skills required; experience with Oracle a plusExcellent MS Excel skills, competent with MS PowerPoint with the ability to create polished and streamlined management reportingExperience with forecasting & analysis tools such as EssbaseExperience in fast pace environment and deliver results under tight deadlinesCRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy on work outputStrong communication skills at all levels of the organizationAble to handle multiple and often competing prioritiesA team player who is able to work collaboratively within the group and across business units/functionsCommunicator, with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skillsGamer, with passion for and knowledge of the industrySKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:FP&Abusiness partneringintermediate/advanced excel skillsexcellent communicationIDEAL CANDIDATE:Candidate with progressive experience in a financial planning & analysis role.
