term strategic planning.Key Focus AreasSupporting complex Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) and programmatic initiativesDeveloping, executing, and monitoring DoD budgets and annual financial spend plansConducting account reconciliations, variance analyses, financial tracking, reporting, budgeting, and forecastingAdvising client leadership on critical financial and operational decisionsResponsibilitiesEnter and maintain accurate financial data in government systems (e.g., Navy ERP, Standard Procurement System, and successor systems)Assist with budget formulation, cost management, and variance analysisMeasure organizational performance and assess program and policy impacts on fundingResearch financial and economic trends affecting program execution and spendingEnsure compliance with policies, regulations, and guidelines governing budget formulation and executionManage multiple funding types and coordinate with cross?functional stakeholdersPrepare and brief financial reports, budgets, analyses, and executive?level summariesDevelop recommendations and courses of action (COAs) to resolve financial issuesInterpret and apply financial management policies, regulations, and strategic objectivesDesired Skills & ExperienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to perform effectively in fast?paced team environments and independentlyStrong analytical and problem?solving skills with minimal supervisionProven ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and toolsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAdvanced Excel proficiency (used daily)Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Access, Outlook)Experience using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)Familiarity with Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N?ERP) preferredQualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution7+ years of Navy/DoD financial management or relevant federal consulting experienceStrongly preferred: Department of the Navy (DoN) experience, including accounting, consulting, finance, NAVWAR financial systems, and PPBE processesAbility to obtain a SECRET government security clearance (TS/SCI may be required for certain projects)Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) certification preferredArtemis Consulting, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
