Sr. Field Applications EngineerThe Sr. Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly-focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market.
Customer and solution focus, are two key factors for this position, as well as business continuity and support. The FAE must work with multiple departments to ensure new projects and existing projects are initiated or maintained towards customer requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Solution architect and presentation skills to help expand Fortune1000 account penetration and loyaltyWorks closely with the sales and extended teams to map end-user customer business, partner requirements and provide most optimized technical solutionsProvides technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of such solutionsEffectively engage with technical customers, gain and maintain trustHighly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware and software interactionShould possess basic HW debug skillsManage product HW and SW engineers during product developmentManage teams during investigation and resolution of problems in the fieldHas a good understanding of firmware, drivers, OS, Applications and their interaction that can cause system issuesDevelop and review systems solutions, technical bid responses and presentationsAbility to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needsAbility to present the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customersVisit on-site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolutionSome travel required (up to 10%)Qualifications:Bachelors' or Masters' degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering preferredExcellent communication skills and business sense requiredMinimum 5-8 year related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desiredStrong background and experience with x86-based server architectureSolid HW system expertise and diagnostics skillsFamiliarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows and virtualization platforms is a plusStrong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplinesIndividual must be able to work effectively in a high pressure environmentSalary Range $145,000 - $165,000 The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
