Senior EPC Procurement ManagerHeelstone Renewable Energy is a utility-scale solar, wind, and storage developer headquartered in Durham, NC, with expertise in developing, originating, financing, constructing, and operating solar photovoltaic, wind, and storage projects. Heelstone's strategy includes greenfield development, co-development, and acquisitions of later-stage projects. Heelstone has developed and achieved commercial operation on over 80 solar projects with an aggregate generating capacity of approximately 1.2 GW.

Heelstone has partnered with Qualitas Energy to fund its development platform as it continues to grow into a world-class Independent Power Producer.Position SummaryThe Senior EPC Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement function of construction and operations for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects across the U.S. They will develop and maintain relationships to ensure continuity of the supply chain and on-time delivery of projects. This is a full-time position located in Durham, North Carolina.ResponsibilitiesMentor and support EPC team members, providing technical guidance and leadership.Manage multiple EPC projects simultaneously, resolving high-level risks, delays, or cost challenges while communicating effectively with project stakeholders.Maintain existing commercial relationships and develop new relationships with key suppliers.Negotiate MSA's (Master Supply Agreements) with key suppliers.Lead the competitive bid process, develop performance and evaluation criteria, negotiate contracts, and evaluate suppliers and service providers performance.Lead the preparation of contract documents, including specifications, general and special conditions, and exhibits, with support from legal, development, and operations teams.Drive consistency in execution practices, ensuring alignment with corporate EPC standards.Analyze market trends and government/regulatory conditions and assess their impact on future activities to provide strategy recommendations to leadership.Support project acquisition processes on procurement, construction, and operations strategy and costs.Other duties as assigned.Skills and Personal QualitiesHighly proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExceptional analytical capabilities and attention to detailSelf-starter that operates well in an entrepreneurial and collaborative environmentStrong sense of accountability, taking ownership of projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively.Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, prioritize efforts, and work effectively under pressure.Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsStrong organization and management skillsEducation/Professional ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field3-5 years of experience in procurement or a related positionExperience and understanding of the North American power market is preferredProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesTotal Rewards PackageWe have an office-based schedule of 4 days in the office (M-Th) and one work-from-home day.
