Senior Cabin Modifications & Engineering Program ManagerAs a Senior Cabin Modifications & Engineering Program Manager, you will lead and drive the delivery of customer offers/proposals pertaining to aircraft cabin upgrades, interior modification programs and customer-centric solutions across Airbus commercial programs/products. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, certification, production, airline customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to define project scope, engineering statement of work, project schedule, and project costs (engineering and parts). Offers/proposals are to be delivered within the framework of full compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.This role is ideal for a seasoned engineering professional with demonstrated experience in aircraft cabin modification (layout and systems) projects, familiarity with STC/DOA processes, and technical program leadership.Primary ResponsibilitiesOpportunity/Project Evaluation: 30% Assess customer requirements and specifications related to the desired "To Be" aircraft configurationCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct an initial technical feasibility study (including risk assessment) of the desired modification.Work with engineering and kitting teams to develop a rough order of magnitude cost estimate for a potential projectOffer/Proposal Development: 50% Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to expand the previous evaluation into a detailed Offer specifying the scope of work, firm cost estimate, and accurate scheduleCoordinate with sales and marketing to ensure proposals align with customer needs and are competitively pricedSupport negotiations with customers and suppliers to secure favorable agreements and contract termsCustomer & Stakeholder Engagement: 15% Ensure that customer expectations are understood and integrated into engineering plans with a strong focus on safety, performance, and compliance.Foster strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing excellent customer service throughout the offer lifecycle.Additional ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assigned: 5% Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, methods and tools improvements.Qualified Experience and TrainingRequired EducationBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)Preferred EducationMaster's degree in Engineering and/or PMP or equivalent project management certification.Required Experience9+ years of engineering experience in aircraft interiors, cabin modifications, systems integration, or similar aviation roles.Proven background in technical project or program management, ideally including STC, modifications, or cabin reconfiguration projects.Ability to interpret and develop engineering drawings, BOMs, technical reports, and certification documentation.Demonstrated success working with airline customers, MROs, OEM partners, and cross-disciplinary teams.Preferred ExperienceIn-depth knowledge of aircraft cabin systems, regulatory frameworks (FAA/EASA), and certification pathways.Experience with cabin layout re-designs, seat-module integration, monument placement, IFE/PSU integration, or advanced interior systems.Familiarity with digital design tools and product lifecycle management (PLM) software.Travel Required5% Domestic and International.CitizenshipAuthorized to Work in the USQualified Skills:Required Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities Technical leadership with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to present complex technical concepts to varied audiences.Customer-facing experience with strong relationship building skills.Strong organizational capabilities, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Team player with the drive to influence cross-functional decision making.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities Working knowledge of Airbus Aircraft Cabin.Required Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages)Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and disciplines.Demonstrates a high level of listening and oral skills by leading discussions on issues, solutions, ideas and status of work.Preferred Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages)Conversational French and/or German.Required Technical Systems ProficiencyStrong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)Level of Decision Making: (Level/Impact of decision making: strategic, tactical, operational)Decision making is limited to personal development and moderate to complex impact operational tasks.Organizational informationIs this a people manager?: No# of Exempt Reports:# of Non-Exempt Reports:Job DimensionsWork is performed without appreciable directions.
