ONSITE Sr. Embedded Board Support Package (BSP) Software Engineer in the Milford, UT area

We are seeking a Board Support Package (BSP) software engineer with experience in embedded real-time software development. This position supports existing and next-generation military communications software while working close to hardware, drivers, boot code, RTOS, interfaces, and platform integration. An engineer in this position is responsible for creating designs, adding features to current designs, and developing operating system configurations.

Essential Functions:

Configuring and patching U-boot and Linux for an embedded system

Configuring the root file system for an embedded system

Linux boot process on an embedded system

BASH scripting

Qualifications:

MUST have an active SECRET DoD clearance

MSCS/BSCS Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Minimum of 4 years embedded software engineering experience
• C++ experience
• Experience or familiarity in
• Yocto
• VxWorks
• Buildroot
• jffs2, UBI, and ubifs
• Busybox
• Board bring-up / JTAG
• Experience debugging hardware
• Experience with Linux kernel/device drivers
• Design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production using C and C++ in a cross compiled environment
• Third party and open source software license documentation
• Familiarity with code revision management tools such as BitBucket
• DoD SECRET security clearance or be qualified to obtain one
• BS Degree required.
