Electrical Engineering Project ManagerA Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 10-15 years of work experience as a licensed engineer. Individual shall be Engineer of Record in several states.Responsibilities/Skills:Implementing engineering project(s), including Construction Documents, Coordination with other disciplines, Permitting, Bidding and Construction Administration in accordance with client requirements and code.Ensuring high level of quality assurance on the product i.e., Construction documents, specifications, RFI responses etc.Completing the job requirement of Project Engineer successfully.Researching, developing and keeping updated with latest design in coordination with vendor, senior engineer and other online resources.Excellent knowledge of discipline specific codes and other building codes.Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good leadership skills to educate client on design and other project requirements.Meeting with the Project Architect and Project Manager to discuss the design scope, schedule, budget, phasing, site issues, and design review issues.Estimating discipline man-hours required to complete the design requirements of a project.Capable of serving as the main point of contact for a project or series of projects with one or several clients, the contractor and the consultants with limited input required from the Project Manager or Principle.Ensuring coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines.Overseeing the design and production of engineering construction documents and specifications for the projects/programs.Maintaining Cuhaci & Peterson and/or the client's standards.Anticipating and resolving issues as they arise.Providing on-going quality control throughout the project.Obtaining and performing peer review of documents.Overseeing setting up project budget(s) and completing designated scope of work within allotted time.Communicating owner revisions and RFI's.Assisting in representing the client's interests at public hearings and meetings, as needed.Providing customer service to client in order to maintain relationship.Mentoring and training engineering designer to successfully produce high quality construction documents and within the allotted budget.Additional duties as required.Skills:Active Listening.Critical Thinking.Revit/AutoCad KnowledgeProficient in Engineering Modeling toolsResearching and writing reports/opinions.Excellent written and oral communication.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.Excellent Time Management.Equipment selection.Excellent judgement and decision making.Excellent management of personnel resources – Motivating, developing and directing team members.Negotiation (Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences)Learning Strategies.Physical Demands:Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, able to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking, able to work under time constraints, long hours may be required.
