Senior-Level Electrical EngineerSeeking a senior-level Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in planning, organizing, and developing engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of chemical, refining, midstream oil and gas, and energy plants and facilities. This role involves active participation throughout the full project cycle, from design to final construction close-out, and includes leading the electrical team within the Swedesboro office.Key ResponsibilitiesLead projects from start to finish.Plan daily tasks for yourself and other team members.Manage the budget and schedule for project resources and deliverables.Participate in or lead squad check drawing package reviews.Read, interpret, and check vendor E&I drawings and vendor catalogs.Lead a team of electrical/I&C engineers and designers.Travel independently to conduct site surveys and document electrical, instrumentation, and controls at existing client sites and facilities (less than 10% of the time).Qualifications15–20 years of engineering design experience supporting oil and gas and heavy industrial projects.Four-year engineering degree from an accredited university.Registered Professional Engineer (by exam) or capable of obtaining PE within 12 months.Extensive knowledge and understanding of the latest version of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), especially in hazardous locations.Working knowledge of relevant standards: UL, API, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA.Proficiency in interfacing with 5 kV and below power electrical equipment, including calculations for conduit fill, voltage drop, and sizing of transformers, conductors, panelboards, and breakers. Knowledge up to 35 kV distribution systems is a plus.Understanding of power system studies using EasyPower, SKM, or ETAP.Experience with wiring diagrams, electrical interconnects, panel layouts, junction box design, PLC cabinet design, plot plans, loop diagrams, I/O lists, P&IDs, cable/conduit schedules, panelboard schedules, and electrical and instrument installation details.Ability to work with minimal supervision on scope development and technical details.Proficient in MS Word and Excel, including creating documents from scratch.Excellent interpersonal skills, including working one-on-one with clients.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.Excellent mentoring skills to train less experienced designers and engineers.Located in Swedesboro, New Jersey, a community known for its rich history and proximity to major cities, this role offers a dynamic work environment in a vibrant locale.Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
