Utilize computer and AutoCAD program to design and draft out electrical drawings and other assigned projects2. Collaborate with Customer Order Engineer to meet specification for customers3.

Collaborate with operations team to make improvements to current drawings, schematics, diagrams4. Interface with customers (rarely)5. Daily report out of activity and action itemsIdeal Soft SkillsAbility to meet and work under deadlinesListen and understand feedback on current processesContinuous improvement mindsetOpen to suggestions, and willing to work with various personalitiesWork EnvironmentOffice – on site at the OPCEssential FunctionsPrepare complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specificationsAssist customer engineering with the analysis and interpretation of customer inquiries relating to assembliesDevelop special layout and sketches for engineering testsPrepare necessary information to ensure efficient and timely material procurement, manufacturing testing, and installation of assembliesMaintain contact with manufacturing and engineering personnel to review and discuss diagrams, modifications, adjustments, and progress of work relating to the design and manufacture of equipmentContact the Engineering Department Lead Engineer, the Master Electrical Designer, or customer engineering to verify circuit operation or to suggest methods to correct errorsAssist and train new employees in all aspects of electrical drafting and testingMaintain a clean, orderly and safe work environmentProvide input and feedback for continuous improvement of processes and systemsSpecialized KnowledgeBasic Qualifications: An associate degree in Drafting & Design, Industrial Electronics or Electronic Engineering Technology that includes coursework in drafting principles (CAD)Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year of experience preparing complex layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches and drawings relating to new and modified equipment specifications, as well as customer engineering interpretation
