Senior Electrical Failure Analysis EngineerThe Electrical Analysis - Northeast section of the Materials & Process Engineering Department is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of a Senior Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer. This position will support programs and their mission of performing electrical component evaluations and root cause failure analysis. This position requires the knowledge and understanding of electrical schematics, circuit analysis, digital processing, RF analysis, die level analysis, and the materials of electrical components (metal wire bonding, substrates, solder, adhesives, & encapsulants). The devices evaluated can range from simple passive devices to complex microcircuits as well as cables, connectors, motors, etc.What You Will Do:The position requires the ability to work through each step of an analysis, which may include external visual photo-documentation, electrical test, non-destructive troubleshooting, environmental testing, x-ray evaluation, destructive testing, decapsulation, cross-sections, internal visual photo-documentation, scanning electron microscope (SEM) evaluation, and writing a detailed final report.Operate the available laboratory equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR analyzers, curve tracers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency generators, signal generators, power meters, hi-pot testers, megohmmeters, laser millers, plasma etchers, chemical jet etchers, bond puller, etc.Researching, investigating, and experimenting with various new failure analysis techniques.Work on several analyses concurrently.Participating and collaboration across the department to work with engineers in other disciplines such as materials and chemistry.The Sr Electrical Engineer - Failure Analysis job is in Andover, MA and the position is onsite.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience. In absence of a degree, 9+ years of experience.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
