Senior Electrical EngineerThe Senior Electrical Engineer serves as a subject matter expert in electrical systems design and installation. In collaboration with project teams, this role will lead the electrical design process from the pursuit phase through project documentation, ensuring high-quality solutions. The Senior Electrical Engineer also provides mentorship to associate engineers and designers, contributes to the development of design standards, and supports the expansion of design-build capabilities in new and existing markets.

Other duties may be required and assigned.Technical Leadership & DesignServe as lead electrical designer for assigned projects from concept through construction documentationEnsure designs comply with industry codes, standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE), and project requirementsProduce and review drawings using Revit; familiarity with related software packages is a plusProvide oversight and quality assurance for the work of junior engineers and electrical designersClient & Project EngagementProactively seek feedback from Project Managers, BIM Detailers, Estimators, and Field Leadership to continually enhance coordination with all project stakeholdersBuild internal and external relationships that allow open communication and collaboration.Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to develop effective design solutionsParticipate in project pursuit, planning, and feasibility studies; contribute to estimating and design alternativesMaintain and grow long-term client relationships to support revenue and repeat business goalsRepresent Baker Group in external meetings and industry organizationsTeam Development & StrategyMentor team of engineers and designers and support onboarding and training initiativesLead or support the development of company-wide electrical design standardsAssist with strategic planning for the expansion of design-build capabilities in new marketsProcess Improvement & CultureIdentify and lead process improvement initiatives across engineering and operationsPromote a strong safety culture across business unitsUphold and model Baker Group's Core Values of Care About People, Love What We Do, Mentally Tough, and Own It.Minimum Education & Experience Required to Perform Essential FunctionsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred), or a related field such as Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction ManagementActive Professional Engineer (P.E.) license requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design, engineering, or constructionProven track record leading electrical design projects from initial concept through construction documentationDemonstrated proficiency in Revit and related design software toolsExperience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and contractorsProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsValid driver's licenseMental and Physical Competencies Required to Perform Essential FunctionsExcellent organizational and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated strength in leading teams and driving successful outcomesExceptional proficiency in both verbal and written communicationStrong knowledge of contract language and termsAbility to navigate and manage challenging situations calmly and effectivelyFundamental knowledge of accounting principles and financial practicesAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyEnvironmental AdaptabilityProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift 20 pounds occasionallyMay have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairsEquipment/ToolsComputerCalculatorTape measurePPE (hard hat, safety glasses, safety boots, Hi-Vis vest)Clothing: jeans, appropriate office shirtBaker Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
