Senior Electrical Design EngineerCTI Consulting & Staffing is partnering with a leading aviation instrumentation manufacturer to find a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their team in Clearwater, Florida. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a company that has been building certified avionics products for commercial, military, and business aviation platforms for more than 70 years. This is not a support role — this is a hands-on ownership position working the full hardware design chain in a structured, DO-254 compliant development environment.What You'll Do:Translate design requirements into analog and digital board designs, including component selection, simulation, schematic capture, layout review, and documentationDevelop and execute test procedures for avionics board-level productsPerform PCB layout reviews using Altium, PADS, or AllegroSupport system integration to verify board function within the intended avionics platformInterface with in-house manufacturing for production test support and troubleshootingExecute board design activities within a structured DO-254 / DO-178C compliant development processCollaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, manufacturing, and test engineeringSupport customer-facing technical deliverables as neededWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering discipline7+ years of hands-on board design experience for aerospace applicationsProven ownership of the full design cycle: requirements through schematic capture, component selection, layout, documentation, and testFamiliarity with DO-254 and DO-178C structured hardware development guidelinesExperience with PCB layout review using Altium, PADS, or AllegroWorking knowledge of microprocessor implementation and data/power bus architecturesExperience supporting system integration within avionics or aerospace platformsMust be a U.S.
