Title: Senior Director, Commodity Management
Location: Morristown, NJ | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Salary: $180,000-$225,000 Base + Bonus ( 25%)

Summary
Lead enterprise wide sourcing strategy, procurement transformation, and supplier management in a complex industrial environment. This highly visible Senior Director role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful business impact while leading a seasoned procurement team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies across MRO, maintenance services, chemicals, environmental services, engineering services, equipment, and capital projects
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier transitions
- Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, risk mitigation, and process improvements
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and hold vendors accountable for cost, quality, safety, compliance, and service performance
- Design and standardize procurement processes, policies, governance structures, and best practices
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Legal, Environmental, and Technology teams
- Leverage spend analysis and performance reporting to identify opportunities and drive corrective actions
- Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, and procurement performance reports
- Lead procurement budgeting, savings reporting, and financial target achievementDrive continuous improvement initiatives and change management efforts across the organization
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of commodity managers and sourcing professionals
- Influence senior stakeholders and build alignment across a decentralized operating environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 20+ years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or commercial management experience
- 10+ years of commodity management, category management, or strategic sourcing leadership experience
- 10+ years of people management experience leading managers or senior procurement professionals
- Strong indirect procurement experience, including MRO, maintenance services, environmental services, engineering services, and capital project support
- Proven ability to drive strategic sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable cost savings
- Experience designing and implementing procurement processes, governance frameworks, and operating models
- Strong financial acumen, spend analysis, budgeting, and savings tracking experience
- Experience within utilities, power generation, energy, environmental services, chemicals, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial environments preferred
- ERP experience required (Oracle/NetSuite preferred)
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills
