Digital Communications EngineerMust be US Citizen and Clearable (Eligible for DOD Secret) Role: Digital Communications Engineer to support Systems Engineering Integration & Test department. Will work on next generation of communications and signal processing systems.Responsibilities:Perform research, design, and development for digital designs associated with multi-function software defined radios, as well as automated test equipmentWork with evaluation boards to test proposed designsSupport the implementation of digital FPGA hardware architecture and algorithmsCollaborate with Systems Engineering to ensure firmware design meets system level requirementsReview designs and analysisProven ability to drive complex technical problems to closureProven ability to lead product deliveryMay lead a team of technical engineersBasic Qualifications:12 Years experience with Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer or related Engineering discipline with specialty in Digital Communications; (10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD).Experience in the design and development of digital communications systems including modulation, signal & receiver design, noise processes, detection, equalization, coding, synchronization, and multi-access communicationsExperience in Link budget development, modeling, and testingMatlab and Simulink modeling of digital comms systems and algorithms experienceHands-on experience in Digital Communications within the last 3 yearsExperience with leading teams through product implementation or demonstrationClearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance is required.Preferred Qualifications (A nice-to-have, NOT required):Optimization of Matlab or Simulink code generated HDL and porting to FPGAs or ASICsOpen air and/or flight testing of advanced communication systemsActive/Current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCIExperience with Military WaveformsWaveform Algorithm Design and DecompositionWaveform ASIC Development
