Sr. DEvops Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a contract position (6+ months) based remotely in the US. This role focuses on designing, automating, and managing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines in a collaborative, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation for build and deployment processes across Azure and cloud platforms
• Manage and optimize Azure Platform as a Service resources, including function apps, App Service, networking, and Key Vault
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Coordinate release engineering efforts across teams with shared dependencies and production deployments
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code solutions
• Support deployment and operation of .NET, Java, Node.js, and other application stacks in production environments
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement agile delivery practices and DevOps principles

Qualifications

• Required
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or cloud engineering roles
  • Hands-on experience with build automation and infrastructure automation, not solely console-based operations
  • Expertise with Azure Platform as a Service, including function apps, App Service, networking, and Key Vault
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Release engineering experience coordinating deployments across teams with shared dependencies
  • Production experience running .NET, Java, and Maven deployments
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash
  • Working knowledge of building, running, and debugging applications in C#/.NET, Java, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar languages
  • Understanding of CI/CD principles and agile delivery practices
• Preferred
  • Kubernetes and GitOps experience, including Argo CD
  • Familiarity with Canary and Blue/Green deployment strategies
  • Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and YAML
  • SAFe agile environment experience
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, GraphQL, Temporal, LaunchDarkly, SonarQube, Backstage, and mobile app release processes
