Implemented new accounting platform Geneva accounting about 6 years agoNow they want to retire the OMS portion of the legacy system and implement EZE castleBecause of the organic growth within the firm, there are a lot of queries tied to the legacy systemsMoving to a Vendor agnostic architecture moving forwardProject falls into 4 buckets:Completing Geneva accounting system implementationImplementing the new OMS only executionVendor Agnostic- building a data warehouse, collect from vendor/trading systems and expose to other parts of the firmRetiring the old systemHave been making fairly good progress within those 4 buckets and have come up with various challengesIncrease to capacity internally in order to be able to move quicker specifically around DWH, but could also help figure out an archiving strategyTech:SQL Server 2016 primarilyFairly complex environment, Dev, QA and Prod all on different versions of SQLDeployment process is fairly manualExpert level T-SQLWould ideally like them to be able to read codeData Modeling tools: Visio is what they us, relate to diagrams- Visio experience would set them apartJira/Confluence for Tracking and documentationSVN for source controlFinancial services experience is a must
