This position will work a hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS office location preferred. Remote will be considered within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Experimentation and Insights Presentation: Conduct experiments, prototype solutions, build optimization and machine learning models, and present insights.
- Leverage Data Science for Sales Targeting: Harness the power of data science to optimize sales targeting strategies, enabling sales teams to focus on high-potential prospects and maximize their effectiveness.
- Data Preparation, Modeling, and Database Development: Prepare data, implement data models, and develop databases to support business needs.
- Data-driven Decision Making: Help business users understand and draw conclusions from data for effective decision making.
- Business Needs to Analytics Problem Statements: Convert business needs into high-level analytics problem statements and deliver impactful projects to non-technical audiences.
- Interpret Results from Multiple Sources: Interpret results from various sources using techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining.
- Direct preparation of studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as operations, forecasts, statistical reports, projections, and business forecasts
- Make recommendations to management regarding cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
- Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding clinical and/or operational plans, growth opportunities, new business planning, and operating forecasts
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in one of the following areas: Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or similar field required.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience working on data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence projects in the industry
- Must be able to independently organize work while working on numerous evaluation projects; prioritize tasks; plan ahead; follow through to complete assignments in a timely, complete, and accurate manner
- Advanced experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Elastic Search, HBase) databases
- Advanced experience building classification, regression, clustering, supervised, semi-supervised, deep learning models
- Advanced experience working with datasets of varying degrees of size and complexity including both structured and unstructured data (email, documents, chats)
- Advanced experience in applied statistics skills, such as hypothesis testing, distributions, bias/variance trade-offs, statistical testing, regression, PCA
- Advanced experience with data tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, GGplot, Python NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, R, Spark ML, Azure ML, SQL, ML, and Snowflake.
