Sr. Data AnalystOur client, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support a Freddie Mac engagement in McLean, VA (fully onsite). This role focuses on building and enhancing scalable data platforms within the mortgage domain, leveraging advanced SQL, data warehousing, and ETL expertise.
The analyst will partner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into high-quality, end-to-end analytical solutions.Contribute to the buildout of strategic, scalable data platforms in partnership with business and technology stakeholdersPartner with client analytics teams to understand business-specific data sources, elements, relationships, and lineageTranslate high-level business requirements into complete, end-to-end analytical solutionsSupport and enhance data warehousing and ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and traceabilityIdentify opportunities for advanced analytics and reporting across business-aligned testing teamsConduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to develop deep understanding of targeted business areasCollaborate with clients to expand capabilities in machine learning, natural language processing, and automationWork closely with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and drive project goals8+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Data AnalysisAdvanced SQL expertise with hands-on experience in data warehousing, ETL processes (including DataStage or similar tools), data lineage, and data securitization across large-scale data environmentsMortgage domain experience (required)Experience working in Agile environments, including creating business and technical user stories and managing work in JiraFamiliarity with Python scripting and data validation workflowsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex, disparate data sources into actionable insightsStrong communication skills, capable of translating business requirements into technical rules, methodologies, and analytical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
